Macomb County, Michigan has Skunk Problems

Here are examples of the Skunk Problems encountered by Macomb County, Michigan homeowners:

I am about to move from the house I rent because of the skunks. I cannot stand it anymore!! I have lived here many years, and thought the landlord and I had a good relationship, But, it appears, she is more concerned about supposed violations on the property than addressing this skunk problem. I NEED HELP. There is a large hole in the front porch where I believe the skunks live, but I think also that they might be entering the basement, too, and possibly the heater vent of my back bedroom. I used to only smell skunk when I was going in and out of the front porch door. But for the last few days the 100% stench is blowing through the vent of the back bedroom. Even my eyes are burning from the strong scent. Suggestions? Jamie A.

We have had a skunk problem for 3 weeks now, have been trapping and we have caught 2 skunks in 5 days. That should solve the problem, right? But today on returning home from work, you could smell skunk at my mothers house who lives a block and a half away....What a stink! This is the worst skunk smell ever!!!! Mike T.

Monday night a skunk got in our crawl space & must have sprayed. The smell is in our home and seems to be growing stronger daily. Is the animal still there are still spraying? Can they run out of spray? Will they leave? Because I suspect I won\\\\\\\'t like the answer to those questions, we also need an estimate for removing skunk/skunks so we can close access to crawl space. Steven C.

We\'ve had an ongoing problem with skunks over the years. Twice we\'ve tried to take care of it ourselves and it has been a disaster! We\'re definitely ready to have a professional handle this. We have a 1/2 acre property that backs up to open space, with a wrap-around porch. We think that there might be a new ‘colony’ under the porch. I was under the impression that skunks hibernate but last night we saw one out and about. I\'m happy to live with the coyote, raccoon, squirrel, fox, deer, rabbits (lots of rabbits!) and all other forms of critters we get due to our proximity to open space......but draw the line at skunks.

Questions about Mice

I believe my father house is infested with mice. I told him years ago to get on top of the situation, but he did not listen. The mice have been in all of his kitchen drawers including the drawer were he keeps his large utensils. Recently, I noticed a mouse has chewed up one of his couch pillows. We would be interested in finding out what must be done to rid his home of these mice for good. I have done some research on my own, and pest control companies don\'t seem like the right approach.

Dealing with mice can be tricky because of how quickly they breed and how easily they can slip into a building.  Two things that need to be identified when working with mice are: where are they getting in and how many are there?  The more difficult of the two is usually finding the entry.  Depending on the answers to these questions, there are several different routes you can go in terms of removal.  So long as the removal company you pick understands the types of removal and can identify the best depending on said answers, you should be able to deal with this problem fairly quickly.

We are professional wildlife removal contractors offering animal control solutions based in Michigan. We pride ourselves on our professional trapping services, and on quality snake, bird, and animal removal.

Platinum Wildlife Removal removes all sorts of wild animals and birds from residential and commercial properties, including bats, snakes, pigeons, skunks, raccoons, swallows, woodpeckers, voles, beavers, and rodents of every kind. Wild animals on your property can damage vegetation and structures and reduce property value. They also bring disease and a host of insect pests with them, which can adversely affect you, your family, and your pets. In your walls, in your attic, or on your roof wild animals can keep you up at night and their urine and droppings create a horrific smell. After my technicians and I perform wild animal removal, we can provide cleanup, sanitization, and deodorization to help restore your property; we can also provide exclusion services to keep your wildlife problem from recurring. Whether the problem is a colony of bats in a building, raccoons in the attic, or destructive behaviors of critters such as squirrels, gophers and pigeons, we can solve it.

We resolve many types of wildlife control conflicts in Macomb County and surrounding areas. Give me a call if you need expert animal removal and/or live wildlife trapping. We can also perform an inspection of your property to evaluate the problem.

The situations we resolve and main trapping and removal services we provide are: raccoon families in attics and chimneys, woodpeckers drilling siding. mud swallow nests on stucco, rats or squirrels thumping and bumping around inside walls and in attics, voles and gophers destroying lawns, skunks stealing pet food, bat infestations, and snakes living in crawlspaces and stone walls.

Along with physical damage and disease, wild animals also bring along disturbance and nuisance with all their commotion and smell. Raccoons and rats will fight all night and keep people awake; baby raccoons chirp and chitter like little birds; skunk smell takes the cake, but have you ever smelled a dead animal in your ventilation system? We have seen much, much more than these problems, but that is a general idea of the kinds of problems that I and my professional wildlife removal operators are prepared to solve.

Not only do my technicians and I trap and remove problem wild animals, we do a lot of other dirty work, too. Don’t hesitate to call us for dead animal removal, bat guano cleanup, pigeon waste removal, mouse dropping cleanup, decontamination, repairs, above ground and below ground rodent slick fencing, odor control for skunk spray, and the like. We are a full service pest control company with a wide range of animal control solutions.

Macomb County is ringing with the sound of woodpeckers

Macomb County residents have real problems with woodpeckers:

A woodpecker has drilled 4 holes into the wood shingles on my house. The holes are about 3 inches apart and located a few inches below the roof line. We cannot get to the holes without climbing on the roof or using very long ladders. I realize four holes doesn\'t sound like many, but who knows how many there might be soon? David S.

Woodpeckers love my house and have repeatedly damaged the siding on my house. This has happened before, but last year was the worst in my 20 years of living in this house. This year, there is new woodpecker damage every 24 hours. I have tried putting up small mirrors and fishing line in attempt to disrupt their plot against my home. I also repaired fairly extensive damage on a shed out back. I need help to get rid of these birds. I am running out of ideas. Louis S.

A Woodpecker is drilling a hole into the side of our house. Noisy. Messy. And I don\'t want them to eat the whole house! Destiny T

There are woodpeckers pecking holes into the wood soffits on my house.  They like to start around 5 am and play alarm clock and that is not alright with me.  I just need someone who can catch the woodpecker and maybe fix the soffit while they’re here.

-Curtis J.

I have a woodpecker that is not only ruining the stucco on the side of my house, but any sleep I try to get.  The wood pecking is annoying, but it’s when it bangs on the small, metal vent on the wall that really pecks my buttons.  I’ve tried earplugs but the noise is too loud and the holes are getting to common to ignore.  I need help!
